"The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change: Yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is"

- Paulo Coelho -

Fryer's has over 200 varieties of roses with a passion to provide the best varieties of roses for garden display.

Fryer's have been specialising in roses for over a century, are internationally renowned and have gained prestigious awards from all over the world.

Arthur Fryer began growing roses commercially on a small plot of land in 1912 and from humble beginnings, his reputation as a supplier of excellent quality roses grew throughout the region. In 1928 the business relocated to its current site with more land and more roses!

After the war, Arthur was joined by his two sons and together they built up an extensive business, attending all the major flower shows, with their roses gaining further international acclaim.

In 1999, Fryer's were honoured to be one of the first recipients of The Queen Mother's International Rose Award. The award, established by The Royal National Rose Society, recognises outstanding achievement in the raising of new cultivars.

Fryer's new roses have gained major awards from all over the world, including two from America (the Oscars of the rose world), Rose of the Year in New Zealand, three from the Hague and four UK Rose of the Year Awards! Fryer's own rose 'Super Trouper' was crowned Novelty Rose 2010, and their rose 'Lucky!' was awarded Rose of the Year 2009. Fryer's Roses have been awarded Rose of the Year 2013, releasing 'You're Beautiful' at Hampton Court 2012.
